OUR VISIONNARY
Driven by a deep compassion and a divine vision, Pastor Juan SHARP— leader of Resurrection Power Ministries IN SOUTH CAROLINA— carries a God-given burden for Africa. Years ago, the Lord revealed to him an image of himself walking through African villages, feeding and helping people in need. He did not know when or how this would come to pass — until 2022, when he first came to Cameroon, joining Pastor Richard Roberts for a powerful conference with 2000 pastors and leaders.
There, his heart was broken by the harsh realities faced by local pastors: spiritual passion stifled by poverty, evangelists discouraged by lack of resources. Pastor Sharp realized that beyond spiritual gifts, God was calling him to empower these leaders through economic and social development.
Today, through the Sharp Sword African Mission, he works to restore hope, dignity and strength to those called to spread the Gospel across the continent. His vision is clear: equip the messengers, uplift the nations.
“This a divine call. A call to see. A call to feel. A call to act.
I have seen the tears of pastors who have nothing — yet still preach with all they have.
I have seen the hunger for the Gospel in villages where there is no church, no electricity, no water.
Through this banquet, you and I can answer that call — together.
Let’s rise and be the answer someone has prayed for.
Sponsor a table, give what you can, or simply show up — because your presence can change a life.”
— Pastor Juan Sharp
OUR GOALS
Sharp SWORD African Mission (SSAM) is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting pastors and Christian leaders across Africa in their mission to preach the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Founded in 2023 by Pastor Juan Edwin Sharp, an American servant of God from Resurrection Power Ministries (USA), SSAM was born out of a powerful observation: many called and anointed leaders in Africa face serious limitations in fulfilling their calling — not because of a lack of zeal, but because of poverty.
How can a pastor fully carry out their mission when they cannot feed their family, pay rent, or even secure basic living conditions? Sadly, many are forced to compromise their message, water down the truth, or even abandon ministry altogether due to overwhelming hardship.
We believe that by uplifting one leader, we uplift an entire community.
SSAM exists to stand in the gap — spiritually, materially, and financially — by providing:
- Encouragement and support to struggling leaders,
- Theological and leadership training to strengthen their foundation.
- Essential resources (food, housing, ministry tools) to help them stay faithful to their mission.
Currently active in Cameroon and Nigeria, SSAM continues to expand its reach across Africa, driven by one goal: to see every faithful servant of God equipped and empowered to preach the uncompromised Gospel, no matter their circumstances.
OUR MISSION
To assure that churches throughout Africa and abroad will work together to become an economically sufficient body of Christ to continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and build the Kingdom of God.
